Effect of antenna group delay on BER ?

Hi,

Could anyone give hint or advice about acceptable limit on group delay of antenna in communication system ?

I have indoor channel with 1 Gbps symbol rate. I'd like to know the effect of antenna itself on the system.

So, any advice please ?

The antenna amplitude and phase response just adds to that of the receiver. That is with one exception. Any multipath will modify these two responses.

You do a system performance requirements and partition the imperfections between the different blocks in the system diagram.

Sorry, it seems little bit not understandable for me. Do you mean S11 amplitude and phase ?

Shall I do that in Matlab as an example? is there any general relation between group delay and bit error rate even for the system? I think there should be some limit in group delay for specific BER, am I right ?
