What's the reason of using PMOS transistors in bias circuit?

I've found this bias ciruit with combination of PMOS and NMOS transistors. To have a low voltage drop 2 PMOS transistors are used as resistors...my question is what could be the reson for using this PMOS transistors,,,,i guess, NMOS transistors could be used instead of PMOS .....any good explanantion
