I am new here and I really got inspired by the wonderfull work done in this forum..
actually I was using another forums, but this one is with no doubt the best ;)

Now back to my problem : )..

Could any one tell me if there is an any difference in calculating the normalaized propagation constant "b" in a "symmetric" slab waveguide and in an "asymmetric" one?
and if there is a difference what are the new equations that i should use?
