i am designing a LNA, the first topology of my LNA is as the picture 1, i used the common LC matching network for the output matching of the LNA. When i begin the design of layout, i find this topology has a big problem: the DC collector current of the LNA is 14mA, but the width of the metal that forming the spiral inductor can allow only 5mA DC.
so i try another matching network that remove the inductor from the DC path, which is like picture 2, Lchoke is a big out-chip inductor that confirming the dc path is open at operating frequency. the matching network is consist of a T network. but this matching network is unstale at several MHz. That is quite annoying!
Can anyone suggest a new matchin network to avoid the DC current limint? thanks
