Bluetooth compatibility testing

Does anyone have any documentation on bluettoth compatibility testing for mobile phones. I am more interested on how bluetooth devices are tested with mobile applications and how they determine pass/fail. Any documentation would be great. I checked out bluetooth org site but you have to be a member.
