Re: Need small directional antenna for bluetooth

ok, let's restart from the begining: My project aims to realize a device calculating location of nearby bluetooth devices by comparing phases (but also amplitude) and applying AOA algorithm.
I've been told it would be good to get directional antennas of 30-45 degree beamwidth.
Maybe it is a wrong advice? Omni monopole antennas are a better?

For 2.4 GHz I can make highly directional patch on 10x10 cm ground plane. Antenna height will be ~5mm.
Gain will be 10 dBi, beam width <60deg (~56 deg.)
Will that do?
