Hi Guys:
When I design a complementary VCO/QVCO stage, I had given in to the tuning range in order to increase the output voltage swing, moreover, my application does not require high tuning range, 3.43-3.5GHz would do.
The question is, the tuning characteristic is more like a parabolic response, compared to the approximate linear response, when high tuning range is implemented, I also find many journals with this approximate linear tuning range, is it OK, to have this parabolic tuning response?, Why?. Thanks in advance

The parabolic response is result from the varactor. You can get linear response if you change the characteristic of varactor.
