the truncation effect of the sierpinsiki fractal antenna

is there anybody doing research about sierpinski fractal antenna? in many papers,it was concluded that due to the truncation effect the ratio of the first two bands of the sierpinski fractal antennas is about 3.5,but not the scale factor of the fractal struture.but it is still not clear to me, i don't konw how to understand truncation effect as i think the ratio should be less than 2,can anybody give me a detail phisical explanation about that?
