I want to match a whip antenna to my Reciever, what's the best way for matching? is it transformer matching? ir so, how can i wind that transformer practically? i need a link to a tutorial for such topic..

Regards,
Ahmad,

Transformer is just one of ways of matching ..
This and other methods are described here:
http://www.ycars.org/EFRA/Module%20C/AntMatch.htm

Regards,
IanP

when i was designing my LNA, i just put matching section to 50Ohms using lumped L and C, is it suffecient to match to the whip antenna?

here's my schematic of LNA, it's input is matched to 50Ohm termination whatever is it (antenna or probe or whatever)

Please comment on it, and correct me if i am wrong in what i said above
Thanks
Ahmad,

What is the length of your "whip antenna"? Type of feed? Is it mounted on a groundplane?

λ/4 length (75cm at 100MHz), Not mounted over ground plane, feed via PCB track ...

What will this affect?
