Staff Architecture Engineer
Position Overview:
The candidate will join a team of highly competent ASIC designers. The candidate need to involve in doing video analytic algorithms and architecture. Has experience in doing image signal processing and video encoding algorithms are also needed
Responsibilities:
Primary: (80%)
o Work on video and audio analytic algorithm and implement in hardware processor.
o evaluate different architecture for video/audio analytic implementation in hardware to meet timing and area requirement
o Combine ISP and video encode data path with video analytic processing to make video application more flexible and powerful
o Join the innovation discussion to come up with new ideas in multimedia chip design
Secondary (20%)
o Review current algorithms in video and image and try to improve or modify their quality
o Assist embedded FW development
o Generate patents that are related to the work
Experience & Skill:
o MSEE/CE with 8+ years of industry experience (or Ph.D. with 5 years working experience)
o Strong analytical, and problem solving skills, as well as hands-on design skills
o Good knowledge of H.264 video encode/decode algorithm, capable of implementing algorithm into architecture and optimizing it for hardware implementation
o Able to write C/C++ code to generate test cases for functional verification
o Understanding hardware implementation & constraints is highly desirable; Knowledge in ASIC development process is a plus
o ISP function algorithm and implementation experience is a plus
o Strong analytical, and problem solving skills, as well as hands-on design skills
o Self-motivated, excellent communication skills and ability to excel in a team environment.
