BPF design
After using ADS, I got the result at folling link.

But, I found the value of L2 is too big.
It seems to effect the INSERTION LOST, and hardly make it.
How to revise it to better value?
Hi
Have you used the optimizing tool in ADS?
Maybee it can give you some better component values.
optimizm is theorical result, you need to adjust it on the practical board.
Could you please tell me how to use the optimum setting?
Please refer to as following link.

I was confused in GOAL setting and optimum setting in ADS.
Please give me explanation in details and step by step description as possible.
Appreciated.
That IS a big one. You could transform down in impedance, hit the filter, and transform back up again. You could change to a different filter topology. You could play around with the ripple allowed to get some relief.
I cannot understand what you said.
Could you please explain it in details?
Does it mean the WIZARD of filter design is useless in ADS?
ADS: written by software geeks
Bandpass filters: designed by RF Engineers
Never the twain shall meet!
Why do you want to use @ds to design BPF? It is hard to use. Use Ansoft designer or other "simple" softwave , pls.
really?
I don't know ADS is not suitable for filter design.
Which aspect is its strength?
I don't have ansoft, could you help me to design my BPF, 26MHZ center, 2MHZ SPAN?
Appreciated.

i think ads can simulte filter but it is theroy . you can simulate filter and turn the practice circuit.
