all pass filter
Could you suggest a reading or technique for designing all pass filters. Stripline / Microstrip, 1GHz, 200MHz span.
Thanks
I would suggest a short/open stub structure, it might be necessary to use multiple stages. it is not something quite compact, but it is very easy to optimise and simulate, and results would be quite close to reality.
but i can say that allpassfilter is a zero attenuation filter with some phase shift in its output
The pole of the all-phase filter lies outside the unit circle and the zero is inside. They lie on the same radius line. REFER THE ATTACHMENT DIAGRAM
a single-pole, single-zero all-pass filter passes all frequency components with constant gain and a phase shift which may be adjusted by the placement of a pole. Taking Z0 near the unit circle causes most of the phase shift to be concentrated near the frequency where the pole is located. Taking the pole further away causes the delay to be spread over more frequencies. Complicated phase shifts or group delays may be built up by cascading several single-pole filters.
Sorry, how can I see/download the file?
