What chips are people using these days, now that the MC3362 Chordless Phone chip has become obsolete? I guess there is something FM with very few external components and PLL frequency control? I am trying to knock up an FM receiver, with frequencies somewhere around 24 to 90 MHz range (walkie-talkie, remote-control car kind of application).

hello
mc3362 can be in wireless application but it's hard to find now,any way you can use mc3371 that can use pll and rssi signal
good luck :P
Any chips from other suppliers than Motorola/On Semi? These are all no longer available.

The mc13135 is good. I have a large quantitiy if anyone is interested.
The substitute for the MC3362 Receiver is the MC13135 or MC13136 and they seem to have a more linear performance. The difference between the MC13135 & MC13136 is the internal OP amp connection and that the MC13136 can use a ceramic resonator for the quadrature detector. Hope this helps.
