Solution for a wireless DVI

I need to lose the DVI cable, so a wireless transmission is necessary.

Make an idea or solution for this challenging task. Range is unimportant (1 cm-10m), radio or optical, simple as possible, no data processing!

5 Gigabits / sec. Probably more. I guess the only way is to use some sort of laser signalling. But that will have to be point to point, line of sight. Radio looks to be out of question.
