Substrate for LNA
hi ahmad i use duriod 5880 of 2.2 epsr and thick of .7874mm(.031 inch),i think it is quiet cheap and available
Yes.. duroid, Arlon , Cuclad. You can found some manufacturers, the importand need of a LNA is that the material has low lost. So you must found a compromise betwen price and features... depends on your aplication..
:? How about TEFLON boards, anybody has used it.
but price is highest
Hi Ahmer Saeed,
Since you are mentioning about DUROID, you could also look in to 5870. It has a little higher Er & tan loss compared to 5880.
Up to 2GHz FR4 (if there isn't special purpose) above 2GHz RO4003.
5880 is suitable for design of LNA.
I designed some LNAs with 5880 and found it very excellent!
I think RO4350 or RO4003 is OK and price is cheaper than Duroid 5880. I used R4350 to design LNA at S-band and the noise figure measured is 0.85dB......
Hello Ahmad
In my opinion RO4350 Duroid 5880 are the optimum choice to you ..
Up to 2GHz F4
above 2GHz RO4003.
above 12GHz RO5880.
