hi,
i'm looking for papers that are describing the printed dipole in a mathmatical way.
i found papers for a dipole f = 2.4 GHz but they don't describe the balun function, or the matching of the λ/4 - transformer.
thats the dipole i'm looking for. http://www.cst.com/Content/Articles/article55.aspx
i designed a printed dipole for f= 5.7 GHz and it works good, but i can not explain it, because i was just "coping" from the model with the lower frequency.
i haven't found a article on web that helps me.... so please who knows where i can find something.
thanks

I'm not a expert in RF but some time ago i was looking for the same but at low frequency and i find an article explaining some of the equations used to design the printed dipole.
Check Microchip website (www.microchip.com) and search for aplication notes for RFID pics you'll find it, search for antenna or loop antenna.
Sorry by not putting the full links but i don't have it.
Hope it helps you .
