hi,
my project is to design a system that will alert parents when their children move away more than 3 meters.
The scope of this project is to build a main controller with parent main unit and children unit controlled by microcontrollers.
The wireless communication shall be carried out using RF transceivers.
problems exist is to decide on the best machanism for detection range.
can i calculate a signal strength between two unit as a peek-to peek amplitude proportional at 2 distance?
what type of RF transceiver are suite on this system?
is there any other method to detect a range between this unit?
