Probably Diode is the most common used in RF
Low capacitance varistors also work.
Hi, Normally TV's and radio's use two antiparallel 1N4148 diodes. Professional receivers use Surge Arresters with 1 pF capacity work perfect but expensive. Neon tube does also work for low cost !.
