need info for Long Range 2.4 or higher GiGaHz RF Transceiver

HI, anyone here have schematics, and circuit board layouts for a RF Transceiver that will transmit/receive using 1/2 or 1 watt, for data link of computer/computer

like the ones existing for 900 MHz, but higher power, and for 2.4 GHz or higher frequency?

... something to "boost" the output/input of the wireless ethernet adapters ... to go 15 to 20 or so miles would be nice. I know a yagi antenna would help, but higher RF power is still needed.... by the way, any design for a yagi antenna like this one, attached, would be nice too ...

thanks.

no one on this entire site has circuit plans for something like this

or even a link to one

You are asking for information on equipment you would not be able to use.......... Check the licencing regulations and you will find that you may not use more than a given power level on preset frequencies for your LAN connection

That's not entirely true ... I've found a company selling these 1 and 2 watt power boosters for LEGAL sale in the US - for OEM's ... along with 30db gain antenna's too

If anyone is interested I can post more detailed info about the specs, and company selling it.

They're very expensive, near S300 and S400 depending on 1 or 2 watt units, then the antenna is ~ S400 to S500 depending on what connector you want it with.

The more powerfull ones, like 5 watt 10 watt and higher are just for military, and other government uses.

They also have lower wattage ones like 50milli-watt and such ...

this brings me to another question ... what wattage will I need for 15 to 20 miles,
and can the antenna selection add distance with 1/2 watt with a 30db gain antenna,
or will I need 1 watt, or the 2 watts PA for that distance for a good connection (at least three bars)?

OK my bad, sorry. But if you tell us were you are it would help I am in the UK. Anywhy, in that case you could try a search on google. Or try this website,
http://www.qsl.net/va3iul/Dualband_TRX/dualband_trx.htm

It is for ham radio, but with some thought you could make use of the info........ Hope this helps.

PS. The transceiver is for 1.3Ghz and 2.3Ghz.
