Dear All
I'm trying to build an FM transmitter, transmitting at 100MHz. As i'm buying the inductor for the tank circuit for the oscillator in the transmitter, i come across this type of inductor called "RF inductor". Is it suitable for my transmitter? or should i just use my homemade indcutor (air core), or just any other normal inductors?
As i go through www.farnel.com, there's a paramater know as "resonant" under this RF inductor, does that have anything to do with my transmitting frequency?
Thanks in advance.

You have to look at the self resinace frequency for the inductor and Q. RF inductor has high self resonance frequency and Q is large. You can use you homemade inductor for 100 MHz but you just need to concern about Q value. The Q value detemines the size of the conductor.
