simple RF pcb software
Mentor Graphics -PADS2007
I have not used it myself, but was told that the latest version of PADS has a number of improvements specifically related to microwave board layout.
Circuit maker-traxmaker is easiest to use but don't know if it is easy to use for Rf. I hv my own scripts written for designing Rf pcb in pagemaker. It is time consuming but hv all the facilities except gerber file. Excellent copper fill. Better than many professional softwares.
my most pcb's r single layer, hardly any double layer. My pcb r not very complex. No need of autoroute etc. Even happy to do layout & connections manually. No problem un craeating my own component libraries. Just want easy copperfill with good isolation between copper fill & pads & track.

If you want to do printed filters or antennas, you'll have a hard time.
What can PADS 2007 provide for an RF PCB designer? Any field simulator besides the Hyperlinx. Filter designer? Transmission line designer?
For simple RF PCBs, I think the best is the ADS. Its layout tool is not so user friendly, but after simulation, optimization you can put e.g. microstripes, after the layout design you can use the Momentum for a post-layout simulation.
MWO and ansoft designer also good candidates , they are simpler than ADS ,
but i am with ADS along the way
i have seen many ppl , use ADS with mentor boardstation , work with ADS in the RF section , and then trnasfer all the work to mentor to finalize the board and make the layout of the remanining parts

Can you write how can I transfer the PCB to Mentor form ADS? Or, some guide for it?
And I am interested in the answer that how can I put a PCB which is made with OrCad, PADS, Protel... to ADS to making a Momentum simulation? Using some standard format or how?:-S
