Hi to all,
Can anyone provide some input how one can plot/generate in matlab and/or C# (or C++) a 3D antenna pattern from the E and H plane patterns?
Any input will be highly appreciated.
Many Thanks, Cross

E and H plane patterns are orthogonal radiation pattern cuts much like the xy plane and the xz planes for example. one plain contains the E vector and the other the H vector. To create useful 3D patterns you would probably need a number of cuts. Assemble the plots much like the lines of latitude and longitude that map a globe.
I would want at least 6 planes to get a reasonable 3D definition. (Opinions as to how many one needs could vary particularly with the type of antenna generation the radiation patterns. Hi gain antennas would need more as the main and sidelobes will be more sharp.)
