What happens to current when the load increases in mixer?

Hello everybody,

I have a question about the mixer gain. Say in a Gilbert mixer as a down-converter mixer. I have noticed that when the load increases, the current goes to the load actually decrease whill the RF current after the transconductance stage is still the same. I am wondering where does the current go?

maybe you can notice the two off-swithing transistors if the mixer is DBM
