Hi guys
I want to get a transient response of a mixer, if I take transient analysis, it takes about hour to simulation. So I think HB might be a good choice, Here is the idea, I did a HB simulation with both RF and LO order to 15, then draw the transient response of system? I am wondering if 15 order is good enough, also it this idea feasible?
Thanks for your time

I think you needn't set the order so high. For RF signal order 3 should be enough because it is almost a sin signal. For LO signal order 5 should be enough because the higher harmonics is small and has less effect on the simulation results. With such low orders the simulation speed should fast even for transient analysis.
i agree with Hmsheng , the 15 is very high

Thanks guys, I checked the result and it seems the results from LO,RF 15 is very similar with result from LO 5, RF 3.
Thanks
