diode design (in mixer) using metamaterials

I am working on mixer design using metamaterials. How to choose a diode(Specifications) after a hybrid coupler for RF mixer circuit for dual band (GSM -900 MHz and 1800MHz) applications. If anyone knows, please let me know and help me for my project...
