where can find the all equation definition in ads or RFDE?
I am learning from RFDE examples, the wierd thing is I often can not find the equations they have already defined in output display windows, I am wondering where I can find all the equations they have defined. Second, I am often confusing about the equation definition, how to use the different dimension variables? Can anyone give me some suggestions on those two topics, I will greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
Search the equation or function in ADS, and the help documents are enough.
Equations and constants are little different between simulation netlist and data display.
For example, you can see functios available on data display from followings.
http://eesof.tm.agilent.com/docs/ads...df/expmeas.pdf
Also you can see detail function definitions in the following AEL.
SHPEESOF_DIR/expressions/ael
About functions available in simulation netlist, see followings.
http://eesof.tm.agilent.com/docs/ads...pdf/expsim.pdf
These are valid for RFDE.
Thank you so much, your reply is great, the two tutorials is exactly what I need. For the detail funtion definitions, I do found the files in SHPEESOF_DIR/expressions/ael,
behavioral_fun.ael dk_defined_fun.ael ptExpr.ael
behavioral_fun.atf dk_defined_fun.atf ptExpr.atf
, but how to read and edit those equation files, any suggestions?
Thanks a lot

If you want to see AEL file's content, you can see it by seeing "*.ael" not "*.atf".
"*.atf" is compiled version of "*.ael".
Although you can modify AEL files in SHPEESOF_DIR/expressions/ael,
you should not do it.
Rather you should put modified AEL files in SHOME/hpeesof/expressions/ael.
Then load your customized AEL by using user_defined_fun.ael.
About AEL, see the followings.
