Can anyone kindly explain to me, how to place parallel LC and series LC on a smith chart, starting on 50ohm centre please?

Please find attached smith.exe. Extract the .rar and remove () from smith.(exe)

Hope you can work around placing components and find out yourself .

But can i ask, if a capacitor and an inductor in parallel as shown in the diagram attached, i understand its an open circuit but how to locate both components on smith chart?

I think you are trying to simulate using RFsim. It has a smith chart option
