Measure Hittite VCO Vtune vs Frequency automatically

I want to get a dataset of a large number of frequency steps vs. corresponding tuning voltage of a VCO (Hittite HMC732). Is there any way to automatically sweep the tuning voltage and measure the output frequency to obtain a Vtune vs freq plot for the entire bandwidth?

Actually Hittite has provided the Vtune vs. Frequency plot in the datasheet. But it is not possible to makeout the accurate tuning voltage for a particular freq. So I want to obtain that plot myself by measurement.

You should use automation test program such as HPVEE or LabView.
You shoud write a routine to control your Power Supply and Spectrum Analyzer via GPIB interface and you can change the Tuning Voltage and the Center frequency of SA by using "peak search" function to find the exact VCO frequency.
Then it will be possible to get Excel file or different format.After that it's easy to plot Freq. vs. Tuning..

But i wonder if it is necessity to measure the VCO by yourself.

I think Hittite datasheet is enough for design. If you test very accurately, your design can't be produced in mass volume because of Hittite components discrete.
