Uwb antenna range 3.1 ghz to 10.6 ghz
i have to design a uwb antenna with bandwidth ranging from 3.1 ghz to 10.6 ghz using fr4 substrate.
i have designed many antenna according to calculations using formulas yet none of my results stand true..consider me a noob and please help me in this regard..thank you
P.S. Im using hfss 13 for simulations

Hey,
It's not necessary that you get the desired results with the exact parameters obtained by the equations.
You have to play around with the dimensions for the adjustment.
ok i am done with achieving the bandwidth part of the antenna..
now i seek ur help in notching the band from 5-6ghz..
what should be my approach? any techniques or formulas?

That's good. In order to achieve the band notch characteristics various techniques including
use of tuning stubs, shaped slots and parasitic elements can be utilized according to the
requirements of your design. I suggest you to go through some research papers than you will be
able to apply any of these techniques.
i have tried to apply various designs but im unable to notch 5-6ghz band..
every method that i have applied notches 4-5ghz band..

Your design has been simulated in HFSS 13. Unfortunately i don't have the same version therefore
i will not be able to work on it.
