Dear All,
I have this struggle to assign port excitation on a multiport resonant cavity using Driven Modal in HFSS. I am confused about whether should I excite all the 4 ports as a wave port (changing the edit source in HFSS drop down to 0 for the other 3 ports) keeping one port as an excitation source. I am attaching images of how my model will look like.
Your input is greatly appreciated!
Thanks

You can go with the default settings using wave port option of HFSS to get the complete S matrix for your system. As during the calculation of complete S matrix each port is treated as source as well as perfectly matched load to calculate all entries of S matrix
