HFSS- Wilkinson Divider Simulation help
I'm having hard time on actually setting up a simulation on a simple Wilkinson divider, in terms of dimensions, subtrate, etc.
I've understand the theory behind it from here: http://www.wpi.edu/Pubs/ETD/Availabl...esis_Final.pdf
So if I've wanted to create a two-port divider as shown here:

I would take the formula in 5.2 from the Pdf. I've linked and I can find the dimension of the micro strips?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microstrip_line
Or if you have Pozar (3rd Edition), chapter 3.
In 5.2, your document give you only the cutoff frequencies for higher order modes but not the physical dimension of you power divider.
I suppose that you know the working frequency of your Wilkinson divider and the caractéristique impedance used. So i suggest you to use free softaware that can help you to design your microstrip in order to built your power divider. For example you can use the last version of the freeware "kicad" where you can find a tools which can calculate the dimmensions of the microstrip if you know the permittivity, the thickness, the loss (tan delta) of your substrate and the wanted Impedance, electrical lenght and so on ...
(note : in agilent ADS, you have wizard that do automatically the job for you and create the PCB).
Good work.
