Wireless Mouse
What frequency?
What Modulation method?
If there are more than one wirelss mouse in the same area, how do they prevent one mouse from transmitting to all the other receivers?
Who makes the RF chips, or are they discrete?
Any other information, such as any standards, pdf files, datasheets etc. would be useful.
Thank you

A very interesting site is: http://www.nvlsi.no (or www.nvlsi.com) (NORDIC VLSI).
Look for nRF2401.
Wow,
That's an amazing piece of silicon.
BUT
1) Is the cordless mouse really implemented with 2.4GHz code-hopping spread-spectrum technology?
2) Does a mouse really need a 1 Mbps data-rate?
3) Isn't there a more conventional 27MHz or 433 MHz solution available?

Hi,
Yes there is low freqwuncy solution but most are noe going for bluetooth at 2.45ghz as you can have one usb dongle and seven slaves for example:
Mouse.
Keyboard.
Modem.
Printer.
Phone.
Speakers.
network link.
Camera.
You get the picture.
Go visit www.csr.com and look at their new plug and go BT chip.
Single class 2 solution with codec and 8mb internal memory.
All you need to add is a crystal, some capacitors and a printed antenna.

OK I believe you guys, but this is seriously scary. 8MB memory IN MY MOUSE? This freaks me out!

The 8mb of Ram is to store the Bluetooth protocols and all the SW stack that is needed to make it work, You cannot use it for anything else.
The BT chip is a complete 2 way radio with many features such as channel hopping and encryption, mono and stereo digital audio etc etc.
