cmu vs agilent
I have used only the CMU-200 so I can only speak about that. If you want to do engineering test the CMU-200 will do fine. If you have the right options it will allow a full base station emulation. It will give TX power , Out of band Power , Spread , RX sensitivity and has a good built in spectrum analyzer. If you want to do production tests the CMD-55, CMD-80 is a better choice. It allows scripting and programming to run the test in auto mode so no user intervention is required and has the ability to do a Pass Fail setup in the script. But R & H is top notch stuff.
It depends on your application. In a auto-test system,agilent8960 is a preference, because it has more fast operation speed than CMU200 with GPIB control. But the CMU200's user interface is more friendly,so it's a better choice for hand-use.Also, the price is different,agilent8960 is more expensive. Only for your reference.
That's right , it really depends on your application .If you are RF designer , I advise you to use CMD200.
R&S CMU200 is much better,easy to operate,friendly interface,etc
If You are expected to test UMTS in the future, the 8960 has much more capabilities (in the road map too).
I found some situation in 8960 is pass, but CMU200 fails.
their sampling and average algorithm are not the same, both of them are good.
