hi,all:
I am looking for a certain paper about spiral inductor.
I have ever heard other people talking about that, the content is about
using multi-layer metal to form a 3-D inductor.
What is special about this paper is that the each turn of the inductor,in this paper, goes in different metal layer. For example, the outest turn goes in top-metal(m6), and the next turn goes down to m5, then back to m6 for the next turn.
If any people have ever seen the paper and call still recall the name or anthor, I will be very
grateful. thanks!
(why don't I try to find it on IEEE is that I have tried but failed to find it, so faint!)

It is hard to pin down which paper you may be looking for. I think you may be referring to the first one listed below. The second is a different configuration, but is multilayer:

(substitute t for * above)
The thread below offer some info to get you started.

these papers are the most important...in 3d spiral inductor sesign
kindly excuse me if some have been repeated.
some of them are the most basic and important papers to get started with
- Using spiral inductor after SRF
- [ADS] Spiral inductor with SRF below the operating frequency
- [ADS] Spiral inductor parameterization in ADS
- How to calculate Q factor of square spiral coil on substrate?
- log spiral antenna in CST
- In RFIC, spiral inductor behaves as capacitor at some hight frequency . Why so?
