How does Gamma Matching work?

Hi all,

I was wondering how gamma matching works exactly. I can't find much information on it.

Is there a difference between gamma matching a dipole antenna and a loop antenna?


Are there any good resources for this type of matching?

Is no difference between gamma match for dipole or loop antenna.
The gamma match capacitor cancels the reactance (imaginary part) of the antenna. Adjustment of resistance (real part) requires adjusting the diameter, spacing, or length of the gamma section.
