Hi guys I have a question I need some help with.
First of all I have a 433mhz transmitter that I need to attach to a aerial about 10 inches away, what is the best cable to use, 50ohm thin coax or will a normal length of cable be ok?
Second thing
Is there a way to boost the output of the tx? , it is extremely low power, it has a range of around 50 meters with external aerials.
any help would be great

Any rf coaxial cable (not audio microphone cable) will do. If you want to get fancy, you could figure out the impedance that the transmitter is supposed to drive, probably 50 or 75 ohm, and use that cable.
The easiest way to get higher range is to use a high gain antenna. But there are government restrictions on how much transmit power and gain are allowed to use in unlicensed operation. The high gain antennas only point in one direction, so it would have to be a fairly "fixed" pair of locations.
