How to know whether the FET is a depletion or enhancement type?

if you have problem in understanding the concept of them (depletion or enhancement) I suggest you to refer to microelectronic books such as "millman" microelectronic book or so on.but if you have problems in practice you should refer to characteristic curves of it.
