Insertion Loss - Elliptic

1. I am begining a design on an interdigital bandpass filter with elliptical response. Can anyone refer me to any write ups or documentation on this.

2. I would appreciate if anyone could provide me with the calculation/mathematical expression for Insertion Loss with elliptical responce...

You can take a look a "Microstrip filters for RF/Microwave applications" by Jia-Sheng Hong & M.J.Lancaster. You can find it at the E-book download section. I find it very usefull and I an designing an Quasi-elliptic filter at the moment.
