RFID tag question?

How to implement a RFID tag ? If I want to implement an active RFID tag, how to send the serial ID information out?

i have this doubt too, what about the 2.5 ghz rfid tags? there are some kind of transceivers to make more easy the use of rfid with microcontrollers?
