Power Amplifier Circuit

Hi,

I have doubts on power amplifier circuit. I am using RF2117 power amplifier chip, alongwith I have attached the schematic which was given in application notes.

I have doubts on this schematic.

1)What is the purpose of Ferrite inductor? How is it more advantages when compared to ordinary inductors.
2)In the datasheet the output impedence of the RF Output pin is not given (which is needed for matching). If some one have used this chip, please let me know the output impedence of RF out pin.
3)What is the purpose of 50 ohm microstrip line, is that microstrip could be replaced by an inductor?.

Please help me in knowing these things.

Frequency of operation-450Mhz.

The transmission line looks like it is a quarter wave RF choke function. It supplies the power to the transistor drain/collector.

The impedance the PI output network transforms the load to is based on the Vcc value and the output power required. This is a power amplifier and efficiency and output power are more important than small signal gain.

The ferrite parts probably are to stop circuit oscillations.
