how to find operating frequency

Hi hi,

There are many specifications and types of co-axial cables available.
Is there a way to find out the operating frequency for co-axial cables?

Thanks

Hi
The operating frequency for co-axial cables depend once the quality of the dielectricum. Twice depend for the diameters. In the case of the higher diameters, the coax guided high order modes

If I get it right,
coaxial cables have not such as "operating frequency". Propagation in coaxial cables is TEM, which has no cutoff frequency. You only have to deal with it's attenuation per longitude wich increases with frequency and will made certain models unable for certain frequencies.

Only if frequency is very high, TE o TM propagation may occur and made the cable unusable. But this is above 20 GHz for usual commercial cables.

Let's say, if you have a short enough coaxial run, any cable will do.

I'm I right?
