Hi all
I need to build a 27MHz transceiver. I am now making the front-end.I got a few problems about the switch and antenna. The transceiver should be low cost and small, and operates at an indoor range of 30m.
My questions are
1) How could I design the circuit of the T/R switch, is there any reference that i could refer to?
2) I have no ideas about how to make the antenna, even its shape.Someone told me it should be a helical one and someone told me that it should be a rod one.Is there any suggestions for me.
3) What kind of material should I use when wounding the antenna?Someone suggests me to use a kind of copper wire.Is it possible?
Thanks all

Have a look at this publicaton:

Especially, see section on the PCB antenna ..
