how does current flowing in a dipole antenna

like usually the electrons flow in a loop ..they go round and round ..

but how will they move in the case of a dipole antenna ?

the current in every section of this antenna has a sin form but as you reach it's ends the magnitute decreases and finally becomes zero. The reason is because the circuit is not lumped for each section there is a capacitor nbetween that point and the ground. you could take it that hte current loop you were expecting is between each section and the ground

antennas current is very complicated in nature but in a simple expression you can consider this condition for better understanding:

electrons goes into antenna and come back from its terminal in an accelerated movement. this acceleration is the basic nature of radiation in antennas. when an electron enters to antenna will encountered to an open circuit line and stops by a negative acceleration. this procedure leads to radiation energy because of negative acceleration and then the electron comes back by a positive acceleration and this lead to radiation energy again.

Hi,
Just a quick question:
When a transmit-dipole and a receive-loop facing each other, which orientation of the loop should I put to have maximum power.
The circular-loop forms a planes: Is this plane:
a) placed along the dipole-arms ?
b) 90 degree with the dipole-arms ?
c) flat, facing the dipole-arms ?
