non linear device of LNA

I have got a basic doubts

Is non linear device can be used for LNA device. As per my idea linear device should be used for LNA designs

For an active device linearity means simply how closely the output signal of the amplifier resembles the input signal. This could be an LNA or a PA.
Always have to remember that no active device is perfectly linear, however the output signal of an amplifier is never an exact replica of the input signal.
