A digital microwave atenuador
Hola ... deceo saber de que forma puedo sensar niveles de potencia de una se?al, para mediante un microcontrolador variar dicha atenuacion..... alguna idea,, algun papel o alguna referencia.....
gracias... sorry for my english.... is so bad! jeje
mi intencion es hacer un atenuador variable electronico ,, no mecanico... es posible esto?
you can read the power of the signal using a power meter, it consists of a thermistor and an automatically balanced bridge.
I haven't seen a digital attenuator before, but may be you can try it by a ferrite material inside a waveguide, by using an electrical magnet and changing the current to adjust the attenuation.
by the way I know some spanish, and I don't think that your english is that bad (it is better than my spanish for sure)
hasta luego,
Adel
there is macom digital att 0.5 1 2 4 8 16 dB att
ok
I need build a feedforward amplifier and i need a variable attenuator to have a good cancelation of IMP3.
but i need the feedforward system on microstrip technologie, so i can't put a mechanical attenuator on the circuit..
What about diode PIN?.......
GRACIAS... y a por aca estare.
There are several digital controlled attenuators here:

They range from DC to 6 GHz, bet there is also a 20 GHz version available. What are your requirements: Frequency range? Attenuator step size? Attenuator range in dB? Power level? IM3?
okas man:
Power level aprox o more 28dBm..
attenuation levels of 3 to 15 dB
frecuency 1.8 to 2.4 Ghz,...
