how can somebody design a horn antenna?
Does anybody know what parameters should somebody check before the construction of a horn antenna at 10 Ghz?
Is there a way to calculate horn's dimensions?
regards.

In case of Pyramidal Horn antenna operating at a frequency of 10 GHz. The waveguide you should be using is WR-90. the dimensions of waveguide is 0.9"x0.4". The pyramidal horn opening will provide you the gain and beamwidth. you can adjust it according to your requirements. if u need circular polarization u have to a conical horn antenna or a Ridged septum polarizer. Please feel free to ask any other queries.
If the horn should illuminate a reflector, you may take in account the right angle. The mouth dimensions are related to the beamwidth.
Tipically, an horn illuminate a sub-reflector at -10...-12 dB at the edge or a main refletor at -12 ... -17 dB at the edge.
CAD: Look for SABOR on Google, it's free!
There are basically 2 forms (conical or pyramidal) and two type of walls (smooth and corrugate).
Of course, the corrugated one, the most difficult to build is also the most performant.
To summarize: the dimensions are related to the functions you ask to the horn. But you provided lack of requirements!
Use DUBUS. On the http://dpmc.unige.ch/dubus" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://<a href="http://dpmc.unige.ch...e.ch/dubus</a> is nice paper about feeding dishes by horn antennas
Look for PCaad5 you can calculate horns and another kinds of elements.
