specified tones must be contiguous

If you know any programs on which i could simulate a frequency multiplier circuit using a step recovery diode please inform me. non- linear CAD.

Any harmonic balance simulator should work if the models are available. Microwave Office has two SRD models.

In the Microwave office i can't put the input that i want (ex. f=0.5 Ghz, Pwr = 20 dbm) Which of the source elements should i use?

Put down a regular port then right click to edit properties, then change port type to source. Frequency is set in either project or document properties. The tutorial covers all of this.

I get this message at the event log:
Simulator: Specified tones must be contiguous starting from one

don't know..

In your Schematic design...the tone #s for all the ports must be contineous...
If not you will get such error message...

If you still have problems, attach the *.emp file I will help you...

This is the design. It is a pulse generator for a frequency multiplier.

Here you go...working project file is attached...

How did you set the frequency at 250 MHz man?

Hello gorilla_13,

I just set the Project Options -> Global Units to MHz.
and project frequencies are varied from 50 to 1000MHz in steps of 50 MHz....
Thats all....

You're really helpfull man.
But if i want to put a pulse wave signal into the circuit can i connect the generator after the input source port? Becaue i can't just change the port with the generator..

do you think that the srd model of microwave office is good?
In the srd diode there are two parameter thar is very critical
1) life time or storage time usually in several ns
2) snap time usually in several ps.
but in the model of microwave office there is not a role for snap time
I think that it can make very much errors in the power of highe order harmonics.
have any body develope a frequency multiplier or comb generator with srd?
is it good with your simulation?
have any body a good and carful simulator for srd design

i have developed my friend an srd frequency multiplier based on some old HP pappers. the result was rich in harmonics but not at the frequency that i had originally calculated(5 GHz). It is somewhere at 2.5 GHz. and the signals is pure(at -20 dbm). If only i could give something like 30 dbm power input the result would be much better(i only have 15 dbm)
The simulation with the MWO is only to find the correct impedance mathing and have a small idea about the whole project(due to lack of determining the srd parameters)
I'm trying to find an srd database for the ADS programm wich is much more detailed and professional.
