hi,
i′m new to this board so first of all "hi everyone!" :)
í′m doing a traineeship atm and troubleing around with the search for a suitable rf solution for a kind of an alarm system.
the main request is a stable connection for a mobile mid range master/slave system (approx 30-50m, possibly through walls and into massive cellars).
there is no need for high datarates(only some identification and statusdata), but the stable connection is very important.
i collected a lot of data of different manufactors of chips for the ism bands (433/866) and atm i′m a little bit confused of what i really need and what are the most relevant factors for a decision.
i think frequencyhopping is a must have because of all that disturbance that can occur in these license free bands, but what exactly are the adv/disadavanteges of narrow or wideband transceivers ?
the sensitivtiy should be as high as possible, the output power is limited to 10dbm when i use the 433mhz band.
does anyone have expirience with the chipcon cc1020 or the semtech xe1205 ? these chips are on my shortlist, modules are not a choice, because i have to be in know of all external components and of integration reasons. (it′s battery powered)
maybe there are some other good chips , they should have a high sensitivity at low datarates and a simple accessibility to a tiny μp, any suggestions ?
