Hi all,
I now have a 13.56 MHz system and am looking to the Mifare range of tags.
I wonder what is the fastest way to read a tag by the reader (and its bus, in my case a USB bus)
The bus is fast, there I expect no problem.
I need to read a few bytes from the card only, no need to write data at every transaction. No need for encryption so the tag can be simple.
It is not completely clear to me how fast this can work. I think Mifare classic (1K) can do 31mS but I have seen lower up to 10mS for Mifare ultra light (0.5K) in a special mode which i so not fully undertsand. For read/write mode they say about 100mS is needed for a classic Mifare.
I should get around 10mS max. to read a card and transfer the data to the PC for my application.
Anyone an idea what to choose or to choose alternative systems other than Mifare.
Should be 13.56 MHz though.
regards
Mike
