Help me select mixer type for my application

I want to build a Mixer in the transmitter for up convert the freq. to 85 MHZ using local oscillator of 75 MHZ & 300mV P-P

So What type of Mixer Shall i build , I want to implement the system on PCB , and i suggest to make it using Transistors or Mosfets , Is that possible, Can anyone help me ?

Your easiest option is a diode ring mixer. http://www.minicircuits.com/dg03-86.pdf at the bottom of the page are low level LO mixers you can use. Be sure to follow the mixer with a bandpass filter to remove the image at 65 MHz and the LO feedthrough at 75 MHz.

It is best to put a 6 dB pad between the mixer output and the filter. Put the 10 MHz signal to the IF input and the 75 MHz signal to the LO input and get the output at the RF port.

The 10 MHz signal should be 20 dB below the LO (30 mV) to minimize nonlinearity efffects.

u can use a single transistor mixer it is very easy to build using BJT

Thanks , Can u please give me part No. for such transistors

it will depend on ur frequency in 100 MHz , u can try 3904
but i am not sure , give it a try
